When You Wish Upon A Star - Lapland Trip 2005

J-U-M-P volunteers were early risers at Manchester Airport to attend charity When You Wish Upon A Star’s annual trip to Lapland to meet Father Christmas. This was the same trip that was made by Jacob Hawthorn two years ago; Jacob was our inspiration starting J-U-M-P- Jacob’s Unique Memory Pot.

J-U-M-P was on hand to help see off the specially chosen children to Santa’s magical home. As the families checked in at the terminal the children were given the opportunity to have their picture taken with our very own Tiggeroo, which will be sent onto the child.

Also there to entertain the kids was Harry Potter and his friend Hagrid, along with some dancing reindeers, a magician and a few celebrities including Gaynor Faye, Saracen from Gladiators and stars from Coronation Street and Hollyoaks.

Finally everyone had a last photo opportunity before getting ready to embark the aeroplane on their flight to Lapland after which they got on the magical sleigh ride to meet Father Christmas. A big bonus for us at J-U-M-P was Tiggeroo had his first TV appearance on Granada Reports who provided coverage of this special annual event.
